My domain.

I first registered the domain bt3.co.uk on 13 Apr 2009. I chose bt3.co.uk because it was a recently expired domain that was short enough to type (it’s actually shorter than google.com and how often do you type that) and easy enough to remember. The primary purpose of the site was to be a place where I could post my training and nutrition logs. I had started working out and watching what I eat in 2004 after giving up the cigarettes and putting on a little weight and in 2009 after 5 years of training I thought I may be losing a little interest and that having a place to post my workout and nutrition logs would keep me motivated. As it turned out I didn’t need any motivation and 6 years later I still workout on a regular basis, probably 4/5 times a week. My workouts consist of a mix of bodyweight, dumbbell, kettlebell, boxing and running. I no longer attend a boxing gym but have a bag at home, where most of my workouts are carried out.
I have recently returned from a two week trip to Thailand training Muay Thai at bangtong gym on the beautiful island of Phuket. This was my second time training there, I first visited in April 2013 for my 50th birthday. I will post more about the quality of training at this very professional and friendly gym in a future post.
One of the main reasons for this post is my visit to Thailand, I took some great photographs while there and yesterday when trying to free up some space on my phone accidently deleted then and I haven’t back them up elsewhere. To say I am gutted is an understatement, I uploaded a few to facebook while I was out in Thailand and that made me remember I still owned this domain with gigabytes of space and that if I had uploaded them as part of a blog of my travels and training then I would still have them!
That leads me back to this post, I still need no motivation to workbut and I have the domain so may as well use it. I can’t always find time to post as my work takes me away a lot, but I will try to on a regular basis from now on if only to save the pictures of my travels and workouts!
