			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>Went for a short run to warm up then did <a href="http://bt3.co.uk/?p=69">The Pit Full Body Workout</a> in a local field, the farmer saw me toward the end of the workout and was intrigued as to what I was doing, after I had done we had quite a chat about catch as catch can wrestling, he was very knowledgeable and knew about <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_Riley" target="_blank">Billy Riley</a> and the Snake Pit in Wigan. </p>

Personally I think the 3 workouts on the DVD are great, don&#8217;t take my word for it though, read what others say about it:</p>
<p><em>Bottom line: If you buy this DVD and follow the workouts three times a week, you will get into great shape! </em></p>
<p><em>All in all the training programs are great to follow by yourself if you&#8217;re starting out, and want to improve your strength and stamina, with very little equipment.</em></p>
<p><em>A good dvd all round, well rounded upper and lower exercises. Good for both starters and advanced athletes. </em></p>

There are 3 pit workouts, upper body, lower body and full body. I also have an eclectic selection of music for when I go for a run, a miniature <a href="http://bt3.co.uk/2009/05/14/deck-of-cards-workout-thurs-may-14/">deck of cards</a> and <a href="http://bt3.co.uk/gymboss_timer">gymboss timer</a>. With these 3 simple tools I can workout in my hotel room, local park, beach or just about anywhere.</p>
<p>My suitcase also doubles as an impromptu sandbag, the hotel room chair is great for dips, hold the chair in your hands as you squat, a weight is just that, a weight.  Anything that you can hold and that has weight can be used as a weight. It doesn’t have to look like a barbell and have a convenient shape in order to qualify as a weight.</p>
<p>If you have 6 feet worth of space, you have a place for push-ups, lunges, crunches, and the like, and the whole world is a gym if you know how to improvise.</p>

<p>5 minutes shadowboxing with 5 sets of 30 explosive leaps and sprawls at random times during the drill.</p>
<p>*45 Second Water Break*</p>
<p>Now its time for my favourite workout &#8220;The Pit Blackjack&#8221;.</p>
<p>The drill involves the combination of pushups and squat thrusts.</p>
<p>The key to the drill is that each combination must equal 21 reps. You begin with 20 pushups and 1 squat thrust, then 19 pushups and 2 squat thrusts&#8230;&#8230;This keeps going until you finish with 1 pushup and 20 squat thrusts.</p>
<p>*45 Second Water Break*</p>
<p>Triple punch drill. You get into a mid-squat position and throw 3 fast straight punches for every rep. 40 reps.</p>
<p>Freestyle rope jump for 45 seconds then Double Under/Sprints for 15 seconds, short break. 3 sets.</p>

<p>Now for the Abs!</p>
<p>The First set involves laying flat on your back and with your arms straight over your head rising up to touch your toes and then returning to your back. 50 reps.</p>
<p>Second set involves placing your hands under your butt and lifting your legs up and down without touching the ground. 50 reps.</p>
<p>Third set, Bicycles with a 3 count per rep. 50 reps.</p>
<p>Fourth/Fifth set, Rustys&#8230;you get into a rowing position with your legs and back up off the ground. Again, the motion is like your rowing. 3 count per rep, 30 reps per set X 2.</p>
<p>Sixth set, Twists&#8230;Similar to Rustys except your twisting your body from side to side instead of front to back. 3 count per rep, 30 reps.</p>
